
Industrial production slowed down in the EU in April, reflecting the problems in raw materials and semi-finished products, while in Croatia industrial output fell for the first time in six months, indicate the latest data from the European statistical office, Eurostat.

In April 2021, in the 27-strong EU, the seasonally adjusted industrial production grew by 0.5% compared with March 2020. In the EU, industrial output increased 0.8% in March on the year.
The euro area saw a 0.8% increase in April, after a 0.4% rise in March.
Among Member States for which data are available, the highest increases were registered in Belgium (+7.4%), Malta (+5.6%) and Estonia (+4.4%).
Croatia's industrial production fell by 2.1% in April, the strongest fall since November last year. In March it increased by 3.4%.
