Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa tweeted on Tuesday afternoon that Slovenia had already sent aid to the Petrinja area in Croatia after a 6.2 earthquake.
“We are sending what is most necessary now – mobile heating units, housing containers, heated tents and generators,” he said.
Jansa also extended his condolences to the families and relatives of the quake fatalities and expressed the Slovenian people’s solidarity with Croatia in these difficult moments.
Slovenia’s Red Cross has sent €10,000 to help the quake victims in Petrinja and Sisak, and has also opened an account in which people can donate money. Slovenia’s Caritas has done the same.
