Members of the Croatian Air Force 191st Fighter Squadron and Rafale fighter jet pilots from the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, located in the Adriatic near the southern city of Dubrovnik, will conduct joint exercises and training of the Croatian pilots on Tuesday and Wednesday.
On Tuesday, Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic, accompanied by Defence Minister Mario Banozic, the Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff, Admiral Robert Hranj, and the PM’s special advisor on defence, Damir Krsticevic, will visit the French aircraft carrier, the Croatian Defence Ministry said in a press release on Monday.
The ministry noted that bilateral activities with the French Navy in March were part of the annual plan for international defence cooperation.
On 15 and 16 March, members of the Croatian Air Force 191st Fighter Squadron and Rafale fighter jet pilots from the Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier will hold joint exercises and training in the airspace above the regions of Istria and Kvarner and Lika and Kordun, as part of airspace control and protection and deterrence exercises.
