Prime Minister visits Vindija food company

Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic and Agriculture Minister Marija Vuckovic on Monday visited the Vindija food company in the northern Croatian town of Varazdin, where they were informed about its upcoming investments and projects.

The Vindija Group is one of the biggest Croatian and regional food industries comprising 13 companies, employing over 3,600 people, and cooperating with more than 1,300 contractors.

According to off-the-record reports, the meeting concluded that Vindija will not change its ownership structure and that it will remain one of the key Croatian companies.

After visiting Vindija, the prime minister headed for the construction site of the Varazdin School of Medicine, which will become a regional competency centre for health technologies.

Plenkovic and several ministers arrived in Varazdin for the signing of a 15.1 billion kuna development agreement for north Croatia which will ensure funding for 38 projects in the counties of Varazdin, Medjimurje, Krapina-Zagorje, Bjelovar-Bilogora, and Koprivnica-Krizevci.
