As of next week Zagreb will start inoculating 10,000 people a day against coronavirus and the city authorities plan to open three more vaccine mega-sites, the director of the city's teaching institute for public health, Zvonimir Sostar, said on Tuesday.

“As of next Tuesday we will start administering 10,000 COVID vaccines a day. We will expand inoculation at the Zagreb Fair ground to 6,500 people and open three more vaccine mega-sites in the city with four teams working in shifts,” Sostar said for the national broadcaster HRT News.

People are being inoculated with the AstraZeneca vaccine at the Zagreb Fair today and so far 1,600 people have been inoculated and we expect that more than 4,000 to get vaccinated today including 500 teachers, he said.
