Donald Trump, the US President, approved the Protocol for North Macedonia NATO membership, sending it to the Senate for ratification, the White House said on Tuesday.
Trump wrote that North Macedonia was a reliable US partner in the security area, adding the Skopje membership to NATO would be important for the strategic interests of both NATO and the US, Faktor.mk website reported.
The President also said he expected the senators to give a positive opinion on North Macedonia membership.
