Air Serbia introduces three more flights to Montenegro due to increased demand

The interest for a late summer holiday in Montenegro, Air Serbia said on Friday it would introduce three more flights from Belgrade to the Adriatic town of Tivat.

Besides, it will include larger planes to the destination, increasing the number of travellers for 30 percent next week.

“We are glad because of the increased interest for a vacation at the Montenegrin coast,” Jiří Marek, General Manager Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia.

Serbia’s flag carrier resumed flights to capital Podgorica and Tivat on August 19 after a pause caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Montenegro re-declared epidemic on July 21, over a month and a half after it declared it over.

Since then, the country has faced a rise in the number of infected people, with 1,715 active cases on Thursday.

According to some media reports, Belgrade will decide on Monday whether estimated 75,000 holidaymakers returning from abroad, particularly from Montenegro, will have to spend two weeks in quarantine.
