As many as 71 olive growers in Istria have been added to the latest edition of the "Flos Olei" publication, an international guide dealing with oil farms all over the world and extra virgin olive oils, which makes Istria the most successful olive-growing region for the sixth year in a row.

The Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) branch in Istria reported on Friday that “Flos Olei 2021” provides a presentation of the olive growing sector in 54 countries.

Istria’s olive farmers are included in the top 500 olive growers, and account for 14% of that ranking.

As many as 73 olive oils from Croatia are ranked in the publication, and of them 71 are from Istria and the remaining two from Dalmatia.

The HTZ branch underscores that the results of local olive growers have improved from last year, which is evidence of their efforts to boost the quality of their products.
