GLAS leader Anka Mrak Taritas has said the opposition will submit a motion to question the government about its work due to the current situation in the health system, noting that the government did not prepare for the current wave of the coronavirus epidemic and did not settle the health system's debts.

“The situation in the health system is alarming. We kept hearing during the summer that the autumn would be difficult, that new measures would be adopted for the school system, work and so on, and that we had to get ready. By all accounts, we all have prepared except for the government,” Mrak Taritas said, adding that the opposition was working on a conclusion for an interpellation and would submit it to parliament next week.

She said that PM Andrej Plenkovic and the government were responsible for the situation in the health system, hence the initiative to question them about their work.

The coronavirus crisis is not the only reason for the debts in the health system, another reason is the general situation in the health system and the failure to meet one’s financial obligations, and this government has not been meeting its obligations on time, Mrak Taritas said.
