The average net salary in Zagreb in August 2021 was 8,252 kuna (€1,099) or 6.8 percent up from August 2020, according to statistics released by city authorities on Friday.

This means that the average salary in the capital city was 1,134 kuna (€151) higher than the national average, which totaled 7,118 (€948) in August. By sector, the highest average monthly salary was in oil and gas extraction (14,408 kuna) and the lowest in the manufacturing of leather goods (4,471 kuna).

The average monthly gross salary in Zagreb in August this year was 11,474 kuna (€1,528), an increase of 4.9 percent from August 2020.
