The average net salary in Zagreb in June 2021 was 8,309 kuna (€1,110) or 6.6 percent up from June 2020, state agency Hina reported on Friday, citing data released by the Zagreb municipal government.

Compared to the national average, which was 7,175 kuna (€959) in June, the average net salary in Zagreb was higher by 1,134 kuna (€151) or nearly 16 percent.

By industry, the best paid sector in Zagreb was what Hina called “crude petroleum and natural gas extraction”, where they were 22,362 kuna (€2,990). The lowest average salary, of 4,496 kuna (€601), was in the manufacturing of leather goods

In terms of gross salaries, the average in Zagreb was 11,532 kuna (€1,542), or 4.5 percent up from June 2020.
