Bosnian women's basketball team beat Croatia 80-69 on Monday in Strasbourg to qualify for the EuroBasket quarter-finals - the national team's best result ever in international competitions.
After qualifying for the continent’s best eight teams, the Bosnians will face the largely favoured France on Wednesday. In the European women’s basketball championship – played every two years – France ended their run as runners-up the last four times.
Bosnian women’s basketball team best result so far was winning 10th place in the 1999 EuroBasket.

The team was led by Bahamas-born Jonquel Jones who scored 24 points, followed by Nikolina Babic (16), Miljana Dzombeta (14), and Andjela Delic (12).
Head coach, Goran Lojo, thanked the fans for all the support and called the win “the greatest victory of my career.”
“I am very proud and happy because of this historic win,” he said. Lojo promised the team will give its best in the game against the French team.
