The Independent Spirit Awards, originally FINDIE, was founded in 1984 and is awarded by Film Independent, a non-profit organization, with the goal of strengthening independent cinematography and diversity in the film industry.
The film was nominated for the Academy Award for Best International Film. The award ceremony will be held on April 25 in Los Angeles, and will be attended by director Jasmila Zbanic and producer Damir Ibrahimovic, the production company Deblokada announced.
