Given the possibility of the arrival of a larger number of Ukrainian refugees in Croatia, the Civil Protection Directorate has published a leaflet in Croatian and Ukrainian with instructions and useful information, to be distributed at Croatian border crossings.

Persons who have not made accommodation arrangements on their own will be provided, upon their entry, with information on the nearest reception centres – in teh city of Osijek, in Varazdinske Toplice, and as of 7 March in the town of Gospic, the Civil Protection Directorate said on Sunday.

Their stay in the reception centres will be short, up to 48 hours, after which they will be provided with permanent accommodation.

Refugees who have made accommodation arrangements on their own will have to report to the nearest Red Cross office, where they will be provided with the necessary information, and they also have to report their stay with the nearest police station.

The leaflet in Croatian and Ukrainian is available at https://civilna-zastita.gov.hr/vijesti/letak-s-korisnim-informacijama-za-raseljene-osobe-iz-ukrajine/5442

Even though Ukrainian nationals are required to have a biometric passport or a non-biometric passport and a visa to enter Croatia, in the current situation displaced persons from Ukraine do not need to present such documents, according to the leaflet.
