As announced, the third or so-called booster anti-coronavirus shot is available in Serbia as of Tuesday at the main vaccination centre at the Belgrade Fair and in all community health centres in the country.
Doctors advise people who want the third dose to wait until invited by e-government via SMS or e-mail. The prioritised groups are people with weakened immune systems, chronic and oncology patients, those older than 70, health workers, persons aged 60 and up who live in social welfare institutions, and those who often travel abroad.
People who don’t belong to those priority categories can also receive the booster dose, at least six months after they received the second dose of the vaccine.
Also, those interested in getting the booster shot can choose which vaccine they want among the four available in the country – Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca, Sinofarm, and Sputnik V – regardless of which one they had received previously.
