The healthcare authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed another 101 coronavirus cases and 28 Covid deaths on Monday.
The new results came from 1,599 lab tests performed on the samples of those who reported infection symptoms.
The country is seeing a significant decline in the number of new cases per day, which prompted the authorities to take steps towards gradual relaxing of epidemic restrictions. Some of them include shorter curfew hours and allowing guests inside the bars and restaurants as well as annulling the measure of mandatory wearing of face masks outdoors.
Bosnia’s Federation entity has so far confirmed 131,978 coronavirus cases out of 643,882 those who tested for the virus presence. The total of 117,786 Covid patients has recovered. The region’s death toll stands at 5,056.
As for the Republika Srpska entity, its healthcare authorities confirmed the total of 62,776 patients out of 263,871 persons tested for the virus infection. The total of 43,288 patients have recovered and 3,498 died.
Brcko District reported the total of 6,463 cases since the epidemic outbreak and 308 fatalities. The total of 4,973 patients has recovered.
