Bosnia and Herzegovina has logged a new record single-day number of daily Covid-19 cases with 2,577 new infected patients and another 22 fatalities, the healthcare authorities confirmed on Wednesday.

The new results came from 6,193 lab tests performed on those who reported the infection symptoms.

The Federation entity confirmed 1,822 positive outcomes of 4,698 lab tests performed over the past 24 hours. The region’s coronavirus total is now at 199,316. With seven more coronavirus-related deaths, the region’s death toll stands at 7,621.

Republika Srpska entity confirmed 577 new Covid-19 cases out of 1,152 lab tests performed, bringing the coronavirus total in this part of the country to 97,110. The region’s death toll stands at 5,607, with 13 new deaths reported over the past 24 hours.

Brcko District reported 178 new cases out of 343 tests performed and two more fatalities.
