Coronavirus: Serbia reports 17 deaths and 787 new infections

Over the last 24 hours, 17 patients in Serbia died from COVID-19-related complications and out of 12,514 tested people, 787 were infected with the coronavirus, the country's Health Ministry said on Friday.

To date, COVID-19 claimed 6,646 lives with a mortality rate of 0.94 percent.

Currently, a total of 3,047 patients are in hospitals, of whom 101 on ventilators.

Since the epidemic outbreak in March 2020, 3,989,567 people have been tested, and 705,185 have been positive for the virus.
