The Serbian Health Ministry said in its daily 3:00 pm bulletin on Friday that 49 people died of coronavirus-related ailments over the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 8,631.

It said that 21,119 people had been tested over the previous 24 hours, including 6,401 who tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.

The total number of people tested to date stands at 5,819,214 with 994,708 confirmed cases.

The bulletin said that there are 6,584 hospitalized cases, including 279 patients on ventilators.
