Coronavirus: Serbia reports five deaths and 162 new infections

Over the last 24 hours, five patients died from COVID-19-related complications and out of 9,941 tested people, 162 were infected with the coronavirus in Serbia, the Health Ministry said on Friday.

To date, COVID-19 has claimed 6,990 lives in the country. The mortality rate is 0.98 percent.

Currently, 381 people are in hospitals, of whom 19 on ventilators.

Since the epidemic outbreak in March 2020, 4,321,518 people have officially been tested, and 715,604 have been confirmed positive for the coronavirus.
