Over the past 24 hours, more than 13,000 coronavirus tests have been performed in Slovenia, confirming 2,413 new cases of the infection, and there have been 36 more related deaths, Slovenia's Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

The number of active cases stands at 19,284, which is 1.6 percent more than on Tuesday.

The rolling seven-day average of new daily new cases has increased by 2.8% to 1,389.

The Covid-19 death toll has gone up to 2,631, the health ministry said. There are 1,170 Covid patients in hospitals, 203 of whom are in intensive care units.
