In the last 24 hours, of 18,200 PCR and rapid antigene tests, 2,663 have returned positive, and 23 patients have died of the COVID-related complications, the Slovenian government reported on Thursday.

The government tweeted that new infection numbers were still worrisome.

The government’s spokesman, Jelo Kacin, said today that currently 1,169 Covid patients were receiving hospital treatment, including 189 in intensive care units.

Slovenia’s death toll stands now at 2,992.
