Croatia logs 1,448 new coronavirus cases and 14 COVID-19 deaths

Croatia has registered 1,448 new coronavirus cases and 14 COVID-19-related deaths in the last 24 hours, the national coronavirus response team reported on Saturday.

The number of active cases now stands at 9,221, including 746 infected persons who are receiving hospital treatment, of whom 96 are on ventilators.

Since 25 February 2020, when the first case was confirmed in the country, 407,755 people have been registered as having contracted the novel virus, of whom 8,664 have died and 389,870 have recovered, including 1,203 in the last 24 hours. 20,474 people are currently self-isolating.

To date, 2,843,039 people have been tested for COVID-19, including 9,883 in the last 24 hours.

A total of 3,443,922 doses of vaccines have so far been administered, with 45.03 percent of the total population, or 54,01 percent of adults, having been vaccinated. 1,827,286 people have received at least one dose and 1,713,279 of them have been fully vaccinated (1,616,636 persons have received two doses and 96,643 have received the single-dose Jannsen vaccine), which makes up 50.73 percent of the adult population.
