Croatian civil protection service announced on Tuesday they would sending five trucks with humanitarian aid and equipment which Ukraine requested, official from the civil protection directorate, Tomislav Marevic, said in Jastrebarsko outside Zagreb on Tuesday.

The trucks will carry medical equipment to treat the wounded and the sick, as well as blankets, beds, and other necessities. Marevic said that more trucks would be sent with humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

These first five trucks are destined for logistics centers set up on the Hungarian-Ukrainian border, where corridors will then be opened for delivery into the interior of the country, he added. The convoy will be escorted by other civil protection vehicles “so that it’s clear that it’s a relief convoy,” Marevic said, and added that the drive to reach the destination is expected to last 24 hours.
