Since the onset of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, 218 refugees have arrived in Lika-Senj County, and the authorities in this central Croatian area prepared an action plan on Wednesday to facilitate their stay and integration.
The head of the county’s civil protection team, Jasna Oreskovic, said today that a leaflet with all the necessary information for the current and future Ukrainian refugees coming to Lika would soon be published in Ukrainian.
The action plan includes activities aimed at making it easier for Ukrainian refugees to satisfy their basic needs and to have access to education, healthcare as well as the labour market.
Also, local institutions, including the healthcare centre in the town of Gospic, the police department, the employment service, and the Red Cross branch, will help the Ukrainians to overcome war traumas and adapt to the living in Lika.
