The Russians have continued their attacks throughout the past 24 hours and they are not only targeting strategic military targets but also hotels and warehouses, N1’s Ana Mlinaric reports from Lviv in western Ukraine.

“People are quite restless after yesterday, considering that two cities were shelled here in the west of Ukraine, only 100 or 150 km from Lviv. Ivano-Frankivsk was also shelled on the first day of the Russian invasion, but Lutsk was shelled for the first time yesterday. In both cases, there were airports that were targeted. We heard from the mayor of Lutsk that 4 airport employees were killed and 6 others were injured. There were no such direct battles today, but sirens could be heard all day, so it is not at all pleasant for the residents of Lviv or the Ukrainians who came here hoping that it will be peaceful,” Mlinaric explained in her report.

She explained that Russian attacks on targets from the beginning of the invasion continued throughout the day, morning and night.

“For some time already, the Russians have not only been shelling strategic military targets, and today a hotel and two frozen food warehouses have been shelled, and two oil depots have been bombed. This is especially a problem because here in the west we notice that there is not enough fuel,” she said, adding that the government made some decisions the day before and is trying to reduce VAT and abolish excise duties to ensure sufficient quantities, but also to keep the price acceptable.

“Today we also heard that almost 960,000 Ukrainians are without electricity, 260,000 Ukrainians have no heating. It is especially difficult in Mariupol, where there is no telephone connection for days,” she said.
