In the last 24 hours, Slovenia has registered 1,506 new cases of the coronavirus infection, and there have been 20 more deaths linked to the COVID-19 disease, bringing the death toll to 3,309, the Slovenian government reported on its Twitter account on Saturday.
Currently, 1,129 COVID patients are being treated in hospitals, including 192 patients in intensive care wards.
Currently, there are 18,667 active cases, or 1.8% less than on Friday, or 6,000 cases fewer than seven days before, the health ministry reported.
Since the authorities started rolling out the vaccination, 46,467 residents have received shots against this infectious disease.
Ski centres were reopened on Saturday in nine out of the 12 regions in the country, and skiers are required to produce negative COVID tests performed in the local healthcare facilities within the last 24 hours.
