Slovenia logs 32 news coronavirus cases; 45% of adults fully vaccinated

In the past 24 hours, 32 coronavirus cases have been registered in Slovenia, with 4.3% of the tests coming back positive, its government said on Sunday.

The number of daily new infections was 52% higher than a week ago.

There are 839 active cases, including 29 hospitalised patients, eight of whom are in intensive care.

There has been one COVID death, bringing the death toll to 4,428.

To date, 51% of the adult population has been vaccinated with the first dose and 45% with both, and 58% of those over 50 have been fully vaccinated.
