Slovenia on Sunday confirmed 362 new coronavirus cases and six COVID-related deaths in the last 24 hours, citing a lower number of tests performed over the weekend.
A total of 1,827 PCR tests performed in the last 24 hours identified 362 infections, with the share of positive tests of 19.8%. On Saturday, there were 1,017 new cases, with every fourth test returning positive.
In the last 24 hours 35 COVID patients were released from hospitals. Currently 605 infected persons are hospitalised and 152 of them are in intensive care.
The number of active cases stands at 9,526. A total of 426,043 people have received at least one dose of COVID vaccine.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Slovenia and Hungary have reached a bilateral agreement on mutual recognition of coronavirus tests and vaccination documents, adding that Slovenia will recognise Hungarian certificates of vaccination with Russian and Chinese vaccines.
