In the last 24 hours 1,663 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Slovenia, with 42.1% of the tests coming back positive, the highest percentage since the start of the epidemic.
The average number of daily new cases in the past seven days was 2,276, the National Public Health Institute said on Sunday.
The number of active cases is also record-high at 27,710.
The 14-day incidence per 100,000 population has increased to 1,314.
According to the Health Ministry, 53.1% of the population has been fully vaccinated.
The number of hospitalisations continues to increase and stands at 572, including 138 COVID-19 patients in intensive care.
In the last 24 hours six patients have died.
The government has not ruled out another lockdown if the number of COVID-19 patients in intensive care exceeds 180.
