In the last 24 hours, there have been 13,911 cases of the infection with coronavirus, with a record high positivity rate of 75.5% in Slovenia, the country's authorities reported on Sunday.
Despite growing daily coronavirus numbers, the hospital admission numbers are stable, but the local authorities brace for possible pressure on intensive care wards. There are currently 101,906 active cases, and 608 hospitalised COVID patients, of whom 135 are in intensive care wards.
In the last 24 hours, 17 COVID patients have died, raising the COVID-related death toll to 5,768.
Infection diseases specialist Mateja Logar, who is at the helm of the Slovenian national COVID-19 crisis management team, told the media that the team was not still considering plans to easy anti-epidemic measures.
