Three quarters of last week’s COVID-related fatalities were unvaccinated people

In the week of October 16-22, 123 people died from COVID-19 in Croatia, and 93 of them had not been vaccinated, the government's koronavirus.hr COVID website reported on Friday.

Among those unvaccinated fatalities, most  (77) were above the age of 65, and of them, 35 people were older than 80, nineteen were aged between 70 and 74, 15 were aged between 75 and 79, and eight were aged between 65 and 69.

Last week, 30 fully vaccinated people died, and all of them were above 65, with every second victim being older than 80.

No one aged between 30 to 64 who died of this infectious disease last week had been vaccinated, the koronavirus.hr website reported. In this age group, the disease took 16 lives in the week from October 16 to 22.
