UNICEF has donated more than 25,000 items of protective equipment to 23 Croatian institutions caring for 1,900 children.
The donation, worth HRK 496,000 (€66,100), consists of 25,100 items of protective equipment – 9,840 protective overalls, 2,760 visors, 4,700 face masks and 8,800 surgical masks intended for more than 1,000 employees working with children without adequate parental care and children with behavioural disorders, a statement said.
UNICEF Croatia office head Regina Castillo handed over the equipment to Margareta Madjeric, state secretary at the Labour and Social Policy Ministry, who thanked UNICEF for the donation.
UNICEF has so far donated to Croatia protective equipment worth HRK 1.5 million.
The UNICEF campaign “Together against coronavirus”, launched in March, can be supported via the organisation’s website.
