On Wednesday, July 17, N1 Television posted its best ever viewership result since it started broadcasting in Croatia.

According to AGB Nielsen, the leading market analytics agency, N1 television had a share of 1.84 percent, during the entire day (0-24 hours) and in the overall population. Although N1 Television has a limited broadcast reach as an IPTV channel, it posted better results than local free-to-air channels.

The amazing result seems to indicate that N1 Television is now a direct competitor to free-to-air channels.

IPTV hot on the heels of free-to-air nationwide stations?

This is confirmed by TV Beat, which showed that on July 17 N1 Television had a total daily share of 4.14 percent in the cable television system, which means N1 broke into the group of top watched channels. Only HRT1, Nova TV, RTl, and HRT2 had better results in the cable system, whith N1 in fifth place with a 4.14 percent share.

On that day, N1’s viewership was double than that of HRT4, its main rival – and in terms of average number of minutes viwers spent watching channels, N1 had an even better result than some free-to-air channels.
