Croatia registered a record-high number of new coronavirus cases on Wednesday (7,315) as well as 50 deaths, the national Covid-19 crisis management team said.

The previous record was 7,094, set on 6 November. There are currently 34,296 active cases in the country, including 1,940 hospitalised patients, of whom 254 are on ventilators, while 26,131 persons are self-isolating.

To date 3,214,550 persons have been tested for the virus, including 16,965 in the past 24 hours. Also, 48.65 percent of the total four-million population has been vaccinated, including 58.2 percent of 3.3 million adults, including 54.1 percent fully immunized people.
