After developing mild symptoms of the coronavirus infection, Croatian Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Tomislav Coric underwent testing which showed that he was positive for the virus, the government says in a press release on Monday.
The minister will stay in isolation and perform his duties from home while following orders from his doctor and epidemiologists. The minister took the test ahead of planning to travel to the COP26 climate summit in Glasgow, and now the ministry’s official Dunja Mazzocco-Drvar will represent Croatia instead.
Considering that most ministers were fully vaccinated more than six months ago, they will now all receive a booster shot, as recommended by the Croatian Institute for Public Health (HZJZ).
Several ministers have already been vaccinated with the booster shot, the press release said.
