7,700 people get vaccinated in Zagreb County

The nine towns in Zagreb County on Saturday organised mass vaccination sites for administering COVID shots to 7,700 residents against coronavirus, the local authorities reported.

During this mass inoculation event 4,500 residents received the second dose of the Pfizer two-dose vaccine, whereas, 3,200 received first shots.

Nearly one in five residents in the county vaccinated against COVID

The current vaccination rate in this county is 18.61%, County Prefect Stjepan Kozic said, adding that an additional 160,000 doses of vaccines would be delivered to this region until the end of June.

The authorities scheduled the next two rounds of mass inoculation for 8 and 15 May when an estimated 20,000 are likely to get jabs.

The local health authorities said that the interest of Zagreb County residents in vaccination was great.
