Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic announced in Brussels on Friday that EU-US talks on the current situation and political crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina will take place in Sarajevo next week.
Plenkovic said that he initiated the discussion on Bosnia, which Germany’s Angela Merkel, Hungary’s Viktor Orban, Slovenia’s Janez Jansa and many other European leaders participated in.
“Everyone watches Milorad Dodik’s messages with caution and disapproval regarding the functioning of Bosnia,” Plenkovic said, referring to the Serb member of Bosnia’s tripartite Presidency, Milorad Dodik.
“Of course, I pointed out that it is necessary to reach a consensus on the Election Law in time, which means approximately this year, which would enable Croats as one of the equal constituent peoples to have their representatives legitimately elected to Bosnian institutions,” Plenkovic said.
“I believe that the talks that will be led by EU and US representatives in Sarajevo next week will go in that direction,” he said.
