In the past 24 hours 1,080 new coronavirus cases and six COVID-19 deaths have been registered in Slovenia, the government said on Tuesday, adding that the number of positive tests was 20 percent.
On Sunday, the government decided that entering the country is possible only with a negative PCR test or proof of vaccination or recovery from COVID-19.
Citing the law on infectious diseases, the government banned travel to countries on the red list, which includes almost every European country and all of Slovenia’s neighbours.
As of Thursday, Slovenia will go into an 11-day lockdown.
