Over the past 24 hours, Slovenia has registered seven COVID-19-related deaths, and 1,017 new coronavirus infections have been confirmed, continuing the slightly increasing trend in new cases, as the authorities are calling for compliance with anti-epidemic measures and avoiding larger gatherings.

The number of new infections has slightly gone up for the fourth day in a row.

Over the past 24 hours, 1,017 new cases have been confirmed following 4,197 tests, which means the percentage of positive tests is 24.2%, an increase from Friday when 949 new cases were confirmed and the percentage of positive tests was 21.4%.

The death toll has increased to 4,258, and it is estimated that there are 9,640 active cases in the country.

Epidemiologists have warned citizens to avoid larger gatherings as the number of people who are allowed to socialise is still limited to 10.

In his message to citizens, President Borut Pahor called for adherence to anti-epidemic measures and getting vaccinated in as large numbers as possible.
