In the last 24 hours, there have been 632 new infections with coronavirus in Slovenia, and the number of hospitalised cases keeps falling, the country's health authorities stated on Saturday.
Positive trends in the epidemiological situation made it possible for the authorities to relax some of the anti-epidemic rules.
For instance, as of Monday, larger hotels and hospitality establishments can re-open half of their rooms for guests. Guests are required to have been vaccinated against COVID-19, or to have recovered from the disease in the last six months or to produce negative tests.
On Friday, only one death linked to COVID-19 was reported, and since the start of the pandemic, Slovenia’s COVID-related death toll has reached 4,286.
Slovenia has been ramping up the vaccination of its citizens and so far 22.7% of the total population has been inoculated.
