The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) on Thursday published its latest Covid-19 map for Europe, which classifies countries and regions in the EU based on coronavirus incidence. On the latest revision of the map, Croatia's entire territory remained dark red, which is the worst possible rating.

Slovenia has been dark red for weeks, and Baltic countries – as well as Ireland, Romania and Bulgaria – also remained dark red. Germany and Poland are shaded red or dark red.” On the other hand, the only green-rated areas, which are currently safest in Europe, are in Italy, especially in the regions of Lombardy and Piedmont in the north, and the island of Sardinia.

The ECDC updates their Covid map every Thursday, based on data reported by national health authorities. Red means the number of active cases over the past two weeks has been 75-200 per 100,000 people, and that 4 percent or more of Covid tests performed have returned a positive result.

Dark red is used for countries where the total number of cases over the past 14 days has been more than 500 per 100,000 people.
