Slovenia's government reported 331 new cases of Covid-19 cases and three more Covid-related deaths on Friday.
There are currently 348 hospitalized Covid patients in Slovenia, including 111 in intensive care units, while the average daily number of new infections has fallen from 384 to 372 week-on-week.
Slovenia’s total death toll now stands at 4,345. According to official data, a total of 608,517 people have been inoculated by Thursday, which is 29 percent of Slovenia’s total 2.1 million population. This includes 313,401 people who have received both vaccine doses.
Due to falling numbers and encouraging statistics, Slovenian government decided to lift the ban on public gatherings of no more than 50 people – as long as any large gathering is announced in advance, and people attending the event keep a safe distance from each other.
This practically allows all public events to take place, and the decision will some into effect on Saturday.
