Croatia has included foreign residents in its vaccination plan, and at the end of last week, 470 foreign residents were inoculated, Croatia's state agency Hina reported on Thursday.
“At the end of January this year, a decision was adopted to include staff in diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Croatia and located in Zagreb, as well as foreign residents living in Croatia, in Croatia’s vaccination plan,” Hina said.
Hina did not clarify who made the decision, nor how many people this would involve.
About 470 members of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited to Croatia, and their families, have received the first dose of coronavirus vaccine on May 9. “Inoculation of foreign residents was organized under the same conditions and with the same priority groups as for Croatian citizens, when the third round of inoculation started, and it is expected that Croatian residents around the world will have the same treatment,” Hina reported, citing the Ministry’s press release.
Another round of inoculation for about 100 more people who missed the first round of vaccination will be organized next week, the ministry said.
