The Slovenian government said on Saturday that 319 coronavirus cases and only one COVID-19 death had been registered in the past 24 hours.

In said period, 10.1% of the coronavirus tests came back positive. Other data too show the third wave of the epidemic is waning and that entering the green phase is near, including further easing of restrictions.

According to estimates, that could happen next week if the weekly average of daily infections drops to below 330. Currently, it is 356.

The situation in hospitals is also improving, with 319 COVID-19 patients currently hospitalised, including 102 in intensive care.
