Snažan potres magnitude 7,4 pogodio je u četvrtak sjeverni dio Molučkog mora uz obalu Indonezije, a izdano je i upozorenje na tsunami, objavio je Američki geološki institut (USGS).

Epicentar potresa bio je oko 120 kilometara od grada Ternate u pokrajini Sjeverni Maluku.
