The Tax Administration said on Wednesday that subsequent to the 29 December devastating earthquake special rules would apply until 12 July regarding debt enforcement procedures.

These rules will apply to tax debtors in the earthquake-hit areas of Sisak-Moslavina, Karlovac and Zagreb counties.

Tax debtors from other areas of Sisak-Moslavina, Karlovac and Zagreb counties will be considered debtors from earthquake-affected areas if they prove that they have suffered damage in the earthquake to such an extent that they cannot settle their tax dues. They are invited to apply to their local tax office for exemption.

The Tax Administration will not send notices to or launch money enforcement proceedings against tax debtors in the earthquake-affected areas until 12 July 2021 regardless of when the debt matured.
