Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic called Zagreb Mayor Tomislav Tomasevic on Friday to congratulate him on the recent local election victory and his taking over the post of mayor.
The prime minister will meet with Tomasevic and all county heads on Tuesday, government spokesman Marko Milic told the Croatian state news agency Hina.
The meeting will focus on the continuation of the government’s partnership and cooperation with all counties and the City of Zagreb, COVID-19 vaccination, and preparations for the tourist season, Milic said.
Asked about the prime minister’s meeting with Tomasevic and a meeting between representatives of the government and the Zagreb city administration, Milic said they would follow soon and that the main priority was post-earthquake reconstruction and other important topics for the city’s development.
