In the past 24 hours, only 83 new cases of coronavirus were registered in Slovenia, and, for the first time in seven months, no deaths, the country's government reported on Thursday.
The seven-day average of confirmed daily cases has dropped to 97 and is continuing to drop, so Slovenia could soon be classified as a European green zone with fewer than 50 new cases a day.
Chief epidemiologist Mateja Logar tweeted that the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control had moved Slovenia from the red zone to the orange zone.
According to data from the country’s health ministry, 45.2 percent of the adult population has received one vaccine dose and 27.1 percent have received both doses.
