The Split City Council on Friday adopted a city budget for 2022 in the amount of close to HRK 1.7 billion, with Mayor Ivica Puljak saying it was good news for Split.
Of the 31 members of the City Council, 17 supported the proposed budget, and 14 voted against.
Puljak told reporters afterwards that now was the time to implement projects his city administration had planned.
He noted that he was glad city councillors who voted for the budget recognised that the city administration with him at its helm worked for the benefit of the city, just as the majority in the City Council did.
Puljak said some of the budget amendments adopted had been put forward by opposition councillors.
Asked which development projects were included in the budget, Puljak said those were large projects inherited from the previous city administration, such as Dracevac, Karepovac, Znjan and the ITC system, as well as projects for the construction of kindergartens and gyms and for the extension of some schools.
